Individual Therapy for Children and Teens

No matter how many books you’ve read, how many other parents you’ve talked to, or how often you reflect on your own childhood, each child comes with unique needs that often exceed our expectations of parenthood. Whether your child is navigating a developmental diagnosis, or addressing issues related to growing up, therapy can be a great source of support for both parents, children, and the family as a whole.

Our therapists take on a collaborative approach in working with teens and children. If permitted, our therapists aim to include parents in the process in order to cultivate a healthy and supportive space within the therapeutic environment as well as outside of it. After assessing the needs of the child or teen, we decide which modalities would best fit and continue to evolve as the therapy progresses.

Our clients come in with a number of different concerns and challenges, including:

  • Developmental disabilities

  • Feelings of overall worry, anxiety, or hopelessness

  • Challenges regarding recent changes and life events

  • Social skills

  • Stress related to divorce or other changes in family dynamics

  • Upset or sad feelings regarding events or relationships

  • Childhood trauma

Our aim is to help children and teenagers feel empowered, hopeful, and inspired to make changes in their lives. Contact us today for your free consultation.
